Two years ago after private swim lessons, MJ would cling to us in the water and scream bloody murder! I was so excited yesterday after taking my kids to the pool. MJ began to swim and I quickly had to capture it on video. This is an example of how determination and patience pays off! He absolutely loves the water and I’m so happy for his improvement!

Yay! Fantastic!

Swimming is something that will bring him joy his entire life and keep him safe. Ben is getting better too, let’s hope they are tearing up the lap lanes by the end of summer!

This is so awesome!! I just posted a video of Jake going under the water independently. He has been terrified of water…your story gives me hope!! My FB page is Our Journey with Jake, it shows the video. Anyway, you’re a few years ahead of me and seriously reading your blog gives me greater hope! Thanks for sharing π

I was so scared that we would never get to this point. He had had great, educated, and patient teachers. He is finally over the fear. I wish I could find a video of 2 years ago so you can see the difference. He would scream and cry and say “I can’t do it” over and over again. Keep the faith!
