Here We Go Again😳

Mj’s IEP meeting is a week and a half away.  It’s so funny how anxious I get when I see that notification letter in his school folder. On the contrary, the hubby is always calm about these things. He is blessed in that way. This is the 10th IEP meeting that we’ve had for MJ and that anxious feeling does Not go away for me.   Though I read this book plenty of times, I’ll be reading it again from cover to cover so that I am fully prepared for the meeting! Prayers are welcomed and needed!

  1. Dear Nicky and family: I continue praising God for you, and for how His glory is revealed through you! I rejoice knowing that through the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and His resurrection from the dead 2,000 years ago we ALL (including MJ) have been healed WHOLLY (physically and mentally as well as spiritually). I praise Him that, as you press into Jesus Christ in faith with utter child-like dependence on Him and HIS accomplishments on our behalf, you joyfully receive the fullness of His grace for you ALL in the present moment, moment after moment, day after day. Now may the God of hope fill you with joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope in the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13). Amen. ❤️

  2. You have got this! MJ is in wonderful hands, especially with you as his fiercest advocate. You will hear how well he is doing meeting his current goals; you will help develop new goals; you will work with the team to get the best support possible to meet the goals. And then, you will go home to think and reflect on the plan. Nothing that happens tomorrow is set in stone. You have time before you have to sign the final IEP. And even then, amendments can be made. Sending prayers and good thoughts for wisdom and compassion!

  3. I’ve lost count how many IEP’s we’ve had but each time, even when I know how Jake is doing, I get nervous as well. I’m sure your meeting will go smoothly; you’ll be in my prayers for sure!! ❤

  4. We had ours for Cody a couple weeks ago. It went very well. My anxiety is stirred more from him starting at middle school next year than anything else. Change is hard for him (and me!)

Good luck with the meeting – you got this!

  5. Nicky your MJ is absolutely amazing and this next IEP will be stellar! I am a mom that understands these evaluations for my son also gets them regularly. He was born with an orthopedic upper limb deficiency and our school district goes through these evals periodically as well. The Word of God says “Be anxious for nothing” (Phillipians 4:6-7) Maybe read this one daily to ease your soul and I will certainly be praying. Its really already done regardless of the outcome. Continue to give thanksgiving for all his accomplishments big and small. I do with my Isaiah and marvel when people think he can’t and he turns around and DOES!!!
