I just had to share MJ’s swimming progress with all of you. The other day at the pool he swam from the shallow end to the deep end, on his own, without fear, for the first time!! It took me by surprise and I closely watched him then got my camera ready to film him swimming from the deep end back to the shallow end. I can’t express how thankful I am to the YMCA Special Needs Camp that he has been going to this summer. They have done a phenomenal job at getting him to really relax while in the water. I would have never thought this was possible three years ago. He was a crying, screaming, fearful child while in the water. Now the pool is where he always wants to be.

Great accomplishment! I also have a child who has had challenges learning to swim. I can totally relate :). Very happy news.
